Still I admit I never played MK8D so I dunno if I am biased on my oppinions or not. MK8D does have some decoration and eye-candy just not as much. From a spectators perspective I'd say that TSR stages are more visually pleasing to look at than MK8D.

However looking at MK8D gameplay I think that game is a little more fast pace than TSR. Sure it sucks if you win in first place but don't score enough team points to keep that first place, but those who are starting out with racing games or the very least started out with MK8D will be more welcomed with TSR which is all about helping the player as a gimmick than a crutch.Īs for the content of the game itself, TSR has creative stages (although ripped from the All-Star racing games) and racers banter amongst one another when racing with various dialogues. By various interactions with your team mates you can gain points that will help you win and your teammates will offer to help you win in doing so to further reach the goal. TSR shares your chance of victory with two other racers by prioritizing team work over first-place.

To me I think Team Sonic Racing is better than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe because the Mario Kart series are very competitive to the point that first place can be stolen from you just before crossing the finishing line, whenever if it's playing with friends or CPU. It has been remake with Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled by Beenox in 2019. I've seen some gameplay footage comparisons of the two games (Along with Crash Team racing which for some reason some videos include as a three-way comparison) This subreddit is dedicated to Crash Team Racing, a kart racing game part of the Crash Bandicoot franchise originally made by Naughty Dog in 1999.
